Business Process Reengineering (BPR)

Business Process Reengineering (BPR) involves the assessment and redesign of core business processes to achieve dramatic improvements in productivity, efficiency and quality. This workshop, designed for management and all levels of government employees, takes you through the BPR process step-by-step, shows you what it is; why it exists; how you can implement the core tenants to positively affect each member of the organization. Participants will explore proven ways to reengineer existing processes to become more efficient and deliver more value to the customer. This course is of particular value to those organizations being asked to “do more with less”.

  • Understand the BPR Process, start-to-finish, to include history, terminology, rationale and benefits
  • Develop Policy and Guidance for BPR, to include milestones and roles and responsibilities for both individuals and teams
  • Adapt Private Industry techniques and innovations to government organizations
  • Identify processes to assess
  • Analyze processes for effectiveness and efficiency
  • Understand design concepts that are applicable to the government work environment
  • Identify BPR strategies and implementation techniques
  • Conduct BPR, to include preliminary planning, phase-in and follow-on accountability planning
